About Us

In 2001 Darius Twagirayesu began sensing a call to return to Rwanda and rebuild the broken lives of the victims of the 1994 genocide where 1 million people died in 90 days. Preliminary work was done to purchase land and lay the foundation to build an orphanage, school, vocational training center and church.

The vision of International Hope for Rwanda was birthed in Darius heart with the theme scriptures being Isaiah 61:1 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach the good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted" and James 1:27 "Pure and undefiled religion before God and The Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble".

Darius and Mwaka Twagirayesu are raising support to fulfill this vision that will act as an instrument of healing to the nation of Rwanda, especially a place where children can hope again.
